Two ways to buy: Fully Serviced or Fully Refurbished
Most refurb dealers sell one product. We sell two — because not every buyer needs the same thing, and every job has a different budget.
Fully Serviced — starts at $12,000
- Tested components — drive, hydraulic, electrical, control system all functionally tested
- New annual ANSI/OSHA inspection — A92.20-2018 / OSHA 29 CFR 1926.453 documented and current
- Optional new parts à la carte — want fresh batteries but not a full repaint? Want new tires but not the rebuilt control box? Spec the unit to your budget.
The Fully Serviced tier is the path that competes with auction-site used (IronPlanet, GovPlanet, Ritchie Bros). The difference: you can come see the lift in our Addison, IL shop — and we can add new parts at your direction. None of the auction sites can do either.
Fully Refurbished — starts at $14,500
Everything in Fully Serviced, plus the comprehensive refurb work below: new batteries, new tires, new charger, rebuilt control box, hydraulic system inspected every time, and the full sand-down + repaint to factory-fresh.
The Fully Refurbished tier is the premium path — half the cost of new with most of the reliability of new.
What you’re getting
The SJIII4632 is Skyjack’s 32 ft / 46-inch wide-deck workhorse. If you’ve been on a jobsite, in a warehouse, or in a big-box store any time in the last 20 years, you’ve probably seen one — they’re everywhere because they work.
The “III” in the name means it’s the third-generation SJIII platform. “46” is the platform width in inches. “32” is the platform height. Skyjack made this lift for years, and parts are still easy to come by. That matters when you own one.

What “fully refurbished” means at Win Win
Same standard, every unit. SJIII4632s come into our shop, get torn down, and get put back together right.
- New batteries. Fresh 24V flooded lead-acid pack, properly watered and load-tested before delivery.
- New tires. Non-marking, indoor-grade.
- New charger. Tested through a full charge cycle.
- Rebuilt control box. Joystick, switches, e-stops on platform and ground — all tested and replaced where needed.
- Hydraulic system inspected every time. We don’t blanket-change the fluid — we test it. If it’s outside spec, we replace it. If it’s clean, we top off and document.
- Full ANSI/OSHA inspection. ANSI A92.20-2018 / OSHA 29 CFR 1926.453, performed by a qualified technician. Certificate and photos go with the unit.
Paint — done right, done to order
This is the separator most refurb dealers don’t match. We don’t touch up. We don’t spot-paint. Every refurbished SJIII4632 gets:
- Fully sanded down to bare metal where needed
- Primed
- Repainted to a factory-fresh finish
- Decals and ANSI markings replaced to current spec
It’s done to order, on the unit you’re buying. The result is a lift that doesn’t look refurbished — it looks new. That matters when it’s parked next to your customers’ equipment, and it matters when you go to resell it. It’s extremely high-quality work and we don’t cut corners on it.

When to buy a SJIII4632 (vs. just renting one)
Same rule of thumb: if you’ll use it more than 90 days a year, buying probably wins.
A 32 ft class lift rents for around $240/day at our Chicagoland yard. Run that math against the refurb purchase price — somewhere in the 60–90 day mark, owning starts to crush rental on total cost. Past 6 months a year, you’re losing money by not owning.
Buying makes sense for:
– Facility teams that run a lift year-round
– Multi-site contractors with steady 30+ ft work
– Distribution centers and big-box stores that need a lift on standby
Renting still wins for:
– Single short jobs
– Heights you’re not sure about yet (rent first, then commit)
– Outdoor rough-terrain jobs (we don’t sell those — we’ll point you to a partner)

Pickup is free for any buyer who comes to our Addison, IL yard. Doesn’t matter if you’re in Chicagoland or driving in from out of state — pickup is on us.
Frequently asked questions
Is the SJIII4632 still in production?
Skyjack has moved forward to newer model designations (the SJ-series with E-Drive is their current platform). The SJIII4632 itself is in the late-cycle / refurb market, which means parts are still readily available and the units are well-understood. For buyers, that’s actually good — you’re not the guinea pig on a brand-new design.
What’s the difference between the SJIII4632 and the SJIII4626?
The 4632 has a 32 ft platform height. The 4626 stops at 26 ft. Same 46″ deck width on both.
What’s the difference between SJIII4632 and SJ4632?
The “SJ” prefix without the III is the older second-generation series. SJIII is the more common modern refurb. We sell both — the SJIII has been the dominant platform since the mid-2000s.
How heavy is a Skyjack SJIII4632?
Around 5,220 lb stowed — close to the Genie GS-3246 in the same generation. Floor-load matters for upper-floor work, so measure your deck rating before you buy.
What batteries does it use?
24V DC pack, typically 4× 6V flooded lead-acid in series. We install fresh batteries on every refurbished unit.
Will it fit through an 8 ft doorway?
Stowed height is 8 ft 3 in. Most commercial roll-up doors clear it; some narrower service doors don’t. Measure your door before you commit — or ask us, and we’ll tell you straight whether it’ll fit.
What’s the warranty?
We back our refurbishment work with a service guarantee on the rebuilt components. Specifics depend on the unit. Ask us about the one you’re considering.
Can I see the unit before I buy?
Yes. We send same-day video walk-arounds of any unit. If you’re in Chicagoland, you can come walk the yard.
How long until you can deliver?
1–2 weeks for ready-to-ship. 3 weeks from the time of payment as a baseline if we’re refurbishing for you. Real numbers, not best-case fairy tales.
