Two ways to buy: Fully Serviced or Fully Refurbished
Most refurb dealers sell one product. We sell two — because not every buyer needs the same thing, and every job has a different budget.
Fully Serviced — starts at $12,000
- Tested components — drive, hydraulic, electrical, control system all functionally tested
- New annual ANSI/OSHA inspection — A92.20-2018 / OSHA 29 CFR 1926.453 documented and current
- Optional new parts à la carte — want fresh batteries but not a full repaint? Want new tires but not the rebuilt control box? Spec the unit to your budget. We’ll quote.
The Fully Serviced tier is the path that competes with auction-site used (IronPlanet, GovPlanet, Ritchie Bros). The difference: you can come see the lift in our Addison, IL shop — and we can add new parts at your direction. None of the auction sites can do either.
Fully Refurbished — starts at $14,500
Everything in Fully Serviced, plus the comprehensive refurb work below: new batteries, new tires, new charger, rebuilt control box, hydraulic system inspected every time, and the full sand-down + repaint to factory-fresh.
The Fully Refurbished tier is the premium path — half the cost of new with most of the reliability of new. What we built our reputation on.
What you’re getting
The GS-3246 is the workhorse 32 ft electric scissor lift. Genie has been making it since the late ’90s and the platform is now in its 7th generation (Genie’s “Next Gen”). The sweet spot for refurbishment is the 5th to 6.5 generation range — that’s what we predominantly sell, that’s where reliability is highest, and parts are widely available. A typical refurbished GS-3246 from us is going to be a 2014–2018 unit out of that generation window.
It’s a 46-inch wide-deck model — wider platform than the GS-3232, which makes it a much more comfortable lift to actually work from. The 3-foot deck extension lets you reach across an aisle, into a soffit, or over a tile ceiling without repositioning.
For most warehouse, retail, and facility-maintenance work in the 30–35 ft range, this is the lift you want.

What “fully refurbished” means at Win Win
This is the part that matters. Refurbished is a word a lot of dealers throw around — it can mean anything from “we washed it” to “we rebuilt it from the frame up.” Here’s what it means at our shop, on every GS-3246 we ship:
- New batteries. Fresh flooded lead-acid set, properly watered and charged before the lift leaves the building. Your service clock starts at delivery.
- New tires. Non-marking compound, correct durometer for indoor work.
- New charger. Full charge cycle tested before we sign off.
- Rebuilt control box. Joystick, function switches, e-stops on platform and ground — all tested and replaced where needed.
- Hydraulic system inspected every time. Cylinders, seals, hoses, and fittings get checked unit by unit. We don’t blanket-change the fluid — we test it. If it’s outside spec, we replace it. If it’s clean, we top off and document.
- Full ANSI/OSHA inspection. ANSI A92.20-2018 / OSHA 29 CFR 1926.453 inspection performed by a qualified service technician. You get the certificate and the photos.
Paint — done right, done to order
This is the separator most refurb dealers don’t match. We don’t touch up. We don’t spot-paint. Every refurbished GS-3246 gets:
- Fully sanded down to bare metal where needed
- Primed
- Repainted to a factory-fresh finish
- Decals and ANSI markings replaced to current spec
It’s done to order, on the unit you’re buying. The result is a lift that doesn’t look refurbished — it looks new. That matters when it’s parked next to your customers’ equipment, and it matters when you go to resell it down the line. It’s extremely high-quality work and we don’t cut corners on it.
We take photos at every stage. If you want to see a specific unit before it ships, we’ll send you a video walk-around — same day.
Current inventory and lead time
GS-3246 inventory moves fast. We typically have a couple of units in various stages of refurbishment at any given time, plus “as-is” units we can fast-track if you have a deadline.
Lead time is quick:
- Already-refurbished, ready to ship: 1–2 weeks (freight only)
- Refurbishment from time of payment: 3 weeks baseline
If you need a GS-3246 in your yard on a tighter timeline, call us. We’ll tell you exactly what’s in the shop, what stage each unit is at, and what we can promise on delivery.

Genie GS-3246 vs Skyjack SJIII4632
The SJIII4632 is the Skyjack equivalent. They’re close — same working height, same platform width, same deck extension, same drive system, very similar weight. The decision usually comes down to brand preference, what your operators are familiar with, and what we have in inventory the day you call.
| Genie GS-3246 | Skyjack SJIII4632 | |
|---|---|---|
| Working height | 38 ft | 38 ft |
| Platform width | 46″ | 46″ |
| Deck extension | 3 ft | 3 ft |
| Stowed weight | ~5,220 lb | similar |
| Drive | Electric, 24V DC | Electric, 24V DC |

| Fully Refurbished from (2016 vintage) | $14,500 | $14,500 |
Pick the GS-3246 if: you’re standardizing a fleet on Genie, or that’s what your operators already know.
Pick the SJIII4632 if: you’ve had good experience with Skyjack, or you want what’s in stock on the day you need to ship.
We sell both. We service both. If you want a real side-by-side, read our full GS-3246 vs SJIII4632 buyer’s guide or just call us — we’ll tell you straight up which one fits your job.
When to buy a GS-3246 (vs. just renting one)
Quick rule: if you’ll use it more than 90 days a year, buying probably wins.
A GS-3246-class unit rents for around $240/day at our Chicago yard. That’s $7,200 for 30 days — about half of what a refurbished unit costs to own outright. Inside of 60 days of use per year, renting is fine. Past 90 days, owning starts to crush rental on total cost. Past 6 months a year, it’s not even close.
Buying tends to make sense for:
- Facility maintenance teams that run lifts year-round
- Contractors with multiple ongoing jobs in the 30–35 ft height range
- Warehouse and logistics operations that need a lift on standby
- Anyone tired of waiting on rental availability during peak season
Renting still makes sense for:
- One-off projects under a couple of weeks
- Jobs where the height needed is unclear (rent first, buy when you know)
- Specialty terrain (rough terrain, high reach beyond 40 ft)

Financing
We work with a couple of equipment financing partners. Most refurbished GS-3246 deals can land in the $300–$400 / month range for 48-month terms, depending on credit and down payment. We don’t run credit unless you ask us to — call us for a soft conversation about what’s possible.
How we ship
We ship nationwide via 3rd-party carriers in enclosed trailers — that’s a meaningful detail. An enclosed trailer protects the lift from road grit, rain, and curious bystanders during transit. It’s how every unit we sell arrives.
Win Win has been doing this for 30+ years and we’ve got a short list of carriers we trust to handle aerial equipment without dropping it. Typical delivery from Addison, IL to most of the continental U.S. is fast — we’ll quote freight upfront, no surprise charges at the loading dock.
Pickup is free for any buyer who comes to our Addison, IL yard. Doesn’t matter if you’re in Chicagoland or driving in from out of state — pickup is on us.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Genie GS-3246 still in production?
Yes. Genie still builds the GS-3246 — the platform is currently in its 7th generation, which Genie calls “Next Gen.” The most reliable units for refurbishment work are in the 5th to 6.5 generation range, and that’s what we predominantly sell. Parts are widely available for those generations.
What’s the difference between the GS-3246 and the GS-3232?
The GS-3232 has a 32″ platform width; the GS-3246 has a 46″ wide deck. Same 32 ft platform height. Most contractors want the 46″ deck for the extra working room, especially if they’re loading materials onto the platform.
How much does a refurbished Genie GS-3246 weigh?
Roughly 5,220 lb stowed. Floor-load matters for upper-floor work — measure your deck rating before you buy.
What batteries does the GS-3246 use?
A 24V DC battery pack — typically 4× 6V flooded lead-acid batteries wired in series. We install fresh batteries on every refurbished unit.
Can a GS-3246 fit through a standard 8 ft service door?
Stowed height is about 8 ft 4 in, so it depends. Some commercial roll-up doors clear it; many residential-grade 8 ft doors don’t. If you need indoor access through a tight door, ask us about lifts with lower stowed heights (the GS-2632 stows under 8 ft).
What’s the warranty after refurbishment?
We back our refurbishment work with a service guarantee on the rebuilt components. If something we touched fails within the warranty window, we make it right. Call us for the specifics on the unit you’re considering.
Can I see the unit before I buy?
Absolutely. We send video walk-arounds the same day you ask. If you’re in Chicagoland, you’re welcome to come visit our shop in Addison and walk the yard.
How long until you can deliver?
1–2 weeks for an already-refurbished unit ready to ship. 3 weeks from the time of payment as a baseline if we’re refurbishing for you. We quote real lead times — not optimistic ones.
What’s included in the price?
The lift, all the refurbishment work listed above, the inspection certificate, and the operator manual. Freight is quoted separately based on your delivery zip code.
What customers say
“Bought a refurbished GS-3246 after our last lift went down for the third time in two years. The team sent video, told us straight what they replaced. Eight months in, zero issues. Saved us roughly $15,000 over new — and we had it in three weeks.”
